Similipal National Park, Tiger Reserve, Mayurbhanj
The Similipal National Park is a paradise of wild animals, about 60 km distance from Baripada town. The area covers 275 sq km along with perennial springs and waterfalls. The Gov’t of India has established tiger protection at Similpal with various wild animals and birds. There are also waterfalls at Bareipani and Joranda, extensive grassy land at Bachhuricchara, and a national park at Meghasani Peak. This place is one of the 18 biosphere reserves of India.
