The Indira Gandhi Park is located about 3 km from the Rourkela bus stand. Sprawling over 42 acres of land, the park features grassy meadows, gardens, a small zoo, an aquarium, a lake, and a doll museum. The garden showcases a variety of floral species, along with well-maintained lawns and a musical fountain.
The zoo houses different kinds of birds, deer, black bears, peacocks, crocodiles, and several other animals. This small yet beautifully planned zoo is a delight for children, offering a toy train that takes them on a fascinating tour of the entire area. A life-size statue of Indira Gandhi is also installed in the park, serving as one of its major highlights.
