Mandira Dam has been built over the Shankh River. The Dam is located at a distance of 32 km from Rourkela Town. It is 16 km upstream from Mandira. The dam has surrounded by hills and green forests that enhance the beauty of the place. The Mandira Reservoir provides water for the Rourkela steel plant, farming and the city of Rourkela.
