Bhimkund Waterfall is located on the bank of the river Baitarani in Mayurbhanj District and is about 125 km distance from Baripada town and 40 km from Karanjia. There are two streams of water, Sana Kunda and Bada Kunda, both related to mythology. It is on the border between Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. There is also a Kundeswar Mahadev Temple and a Big statue of Mahabali Bhim near Bhimkund Waterfall. This Bhimkund has a tall watchtower near the waterfall where one can enjoy the beautiful view of the entire Bhimkund of Mayurbhanj Side. This Bhimkund is visible from two sides; one is Mayurbhanj, and the other is Kendujhar’s side, which is about 60 km from Keonjhar town. Bhimkund Waterfall Parking Entry fee price is 30, and the Watchtower fee is Rs.10 per person.
The Mystery of Bhimkand

The legend reveals that Bhima and the second Pandava used to take their bath in this pool when the Pandavas were passing their incognito life in Biratnagar, said to be the present Kaptipada. During the Makar Festival in January, thousands of people gather here to take their holy dip. Tourists often come to visit this Kunda in the winter.
