Bhimkund Waterfall is located on the bank of river Baitarani, it is about 40 km from Karanjia and 60 km distance from Keonjhar Town. There are two streams of water, both Sana Kunda and Bada Kunda, Which are related to mythology. It is also located on the border between both Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. There is also a Kundeswar Mahadev Temple and a Large statue of Mahabali Bhim near Bhimkund. This beautiful Bhimkund has a tall watchtower to see the Waterfall in the mayurbhanj side
The legend reveals that Bhima and the second Pandava used to take their bath in this pool when the Pandavas were passing their incognito life in Biratnagar, said to be the present Kaptipada. During Makar Festival in January, thousands of people gather here to take their holy dip. Tourists often come to visit this Kunda in the winter.
