Ramatirtha Nature Camp is located on the banks of the Khairi and Bhandan rivers. It is about 4 km from Jashipur in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. Ramatirtha is one of the most popular eco-tourism camps in the Similipal Tiger Reserve. Unlike other camps that close during the monsoon, this one remains open throughout the year, welcoming travellers in every season. The place has mythological importance, tied to the epic Ramayana. The name Ramatirtha comes from the belief that Sita sat here and washed her face and feet in the river while travelling with Rama and Laxman. It also includes a Crocodile Rearing Centre/Mugger Research Centre and an Interpretation Centre.
Ramatirtha Nature Camp has 08 luxury accommodations (four double-bedded rooms in Devasthali Cottage, one 6-bedded tribal hut, 2 AC dormitories, and 01 non-AC dormitory). Meals included in the package are prepared by the local community, giving you a taste of authentic Odia flavours. - The tariff includes complimentary lunch, dinner, and breakfast. An entry fee of Rs. 40.00 per day will be applied extra.
- The facility to accommodate one extra person (4-18 years old) is available for an additional charge of Rs 1,000 per day.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are complimentary and limited to the number of people named on the ticket.
- Children from 4 to 18 years old will be accommodated. The parents will be charged an additional fee at the destination, as per the tariff.
