Daha Dam is located 4 km distance from Bhanjanagar and 85 km from Brahmapur City. Bhanjanagar Reservoir is the Irrigation Project under the Rusikulya Irrigation System in the District of Ganjam. The main purpose of the dam is to supply drinking water to the city of Berhampur through the Mahanadi canal and also to supply water for irrigation purposes to some areas of Ganjam district through its canal system.
