Maa Dhakulei Temple is located at Pratap Nagari and is about 10 km distance from Cuttack City. The Pitha is dedicated to Maa Dhakulei, who is believed to be an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga. It is one of the oldest temples in the region. The structure, paintings, and artistic design of this temple are very beautiful. It is a beautifully scenic and religious spot, adjacent to the Puri Main Canal and Kuakhai River, where water flows perennially throughout the year. There is a Jain museum adjacent to Maa Dhakulei temple, constructed by Jain devotees for a long time. The place is famous for the fireworks that take place during Dola Purnima. The Maa Dhakulei Yatra is the main festival of this temple and is celebrated for 7 days. Devotees come from far and wide to see this festival.
