Swarnajaleswar Temple, Bhubaneswar

The Swarnajaleswar temple was built in the first decade of the 7th century AD and shares a close relationship with the Parsuramshwar temple in terms of design and size. The temple is located on the road from Lingaraj Temple to Kedargauri near Kotitirtheswar Temple. Although the temple is in disrepair, the wealth of the sculptures on display indicates the art of the seventh century AD. The Swarnajaleswar temple was built by the Sailodbhava Kings in the Kalinga Triratha style with only a Vimana of a spire. The special feature of this 7th-century AD old monument is the beautiful depictions of carved scenes from the epic the Ramayana.
