Nrusinghanath Temple, Bargarh

Lord Nrusinghanath is a seat of Vidal Nursing has situated in Paikamal. Nursinghanath temple has located around 110 km from Baragarh Town and 37 km from Nuapada. The temple of Nursinghanath was built by king Baijal Dev of Patna State in the 15th Century AD. The Nursinghanath Temple is 122 meters and standing on the foot of the mountain Gandhamardan towards the south and west side. But on the other part of this mountain is near a waterfall called Harishankar temple. Prevesioly that place of Harishankar was called by Hiuen Tsang as Parimalagiri, which is recognised as Buddhist University. 

The mountain Gandhamardan looks very beautiful due to the covering of green forest near Nrusinghanath Temple. The shrine farming different waterfalls and the sound of wild animals and migratory birds are very amusing to the visitors. During the time of Makar Sankranti Nrusingha Chaturthi and local festival Navanna are observed here. Gandhamardan is aptly famous for medical herbs around it. Nursinghanath Temple and Gandhamardan Mountain are the best tourist places in Bargarh, Odisha.
